Sadly, these guys do not serve any breakfast & stay away from their muffins, they are hardly ever fresh, especially in the morning! However, I recommend having their hazelnut-latte. Thats the only thing that I can recommend without any reservations. Tip: I would not be too quick on adding sugar to that Hazelnut-Latte!
About munyah
Cafe Magnifico
This is well tucked into the ever busy Canal Walk. You’d almost miss it if you were not observant enough, and still equally shocked when you realise just how big it is. They serve awesome breakfast there and the prices are a little above the normal, I suppose its reasonable in Canal Walk, what else [...]
Rhodes Memorial Restaurant – the juice factor!
Finally after it was recommended that we visit Rhodes Memorial Restaurant, we went there. What an outstanding view you get from there, thanks Andries. So, yes this place was a bit of a pain for us because we don’t really like Cecil J Rhodes, but we can not fault Sir Herbet for picking an absolutely [...]

Breakfast of champions @ Protea Hotel | Victoria Junction
We will be the first to admit that you can never compare a hotel and restaurant, in terms of service. Be that as it may, we simply had to mention that breakfast from the Set Restaurant is simply top class. We were spoilt for choice. We had a full breakfast, that is just shot of [...]

Lazari – Vredehoek
Today we went off to explore new ‘territories’ and were desperately conquered! It was war with the food and the food was indeed victorious! Lazari is a tiny little restaurant (they call it a food gallery) at the corner of Upper Maynard & Vredehoek. I would gladly recommend it to my friends with sweet toothes [...]
Mug & Bean – V & A Waterfront
Simply put, value for money. Mug and bean serve big portions of food. In these hard times it just helps to have the ability to order a huge set of big meal portions and share as friends. I will not even waster my energy telling you about the multitude variaties of hot beverages you can [...]
The Villa Tavern – Gardens – Vredehoek
There is something about tarvens that keeps sucking us into trying to have breakfast there; after we have enjoyed a couple of beers at the place all so often. Perhaps its simple familiarity. Whatever it is; it sucks. Taverns hardly ever disappoint in serving an averagely boring meal.
Cafe Mojito – Upper Long Street
After a few weeks of passing by pubs that serve breakfast, we decided we were ready to test the waters once more, after our ordeal with Dubliner.
Gardens – Creme Coffee Shop – Upstairs
2012-01-30-UPDATE: CREME RESTAURANT HAS SINCE BEEN CLOSED. Of the dozens of places we have been to, this is the only place we typically go to whenever we are feeling lazy of going anywhere else. It is like home for us.
Piccolo Cafe- Gardens – Downstairs
As you enter gardens shopping centre through the downstairs entrance (main entrance); is a bit of an unexplored gem. Piccolo is just a simple place; as simple as it gets; that offers an excellent menu and an array of options to a normal dish. If you’re ever there request to be served by Archie. Best [...]
