Suggest spots in Cape Town

We don’t pretend to know all the awesome breakfast places in Cape Town. We haven’t even scratched the surface of the breakfast spots available.

We are happy to let you know that we take suggestions. We may not go to all of them, but whichever we go to, we will put them up here!

Just fill send a comment on this page.

Primi Sea Point – That has a good breakfast meal, really good for removing bhabhalaas

Tinahe, it had to be about bhabhalaas. Thanks all the same, when we’re in the area we’ll pop in there.

Maybe try the cafe at Rhodes Memorial. Has a great view, but not too sure about prices though. Don’t remember it being overly expensive.

thanks @Andries. I’ve mapped it, we’ll pay it a visit

Bit out of the city, but River Cafe at the entrance to the Uitsig Wine farm in Constantia makes the best Eggs Benedict in the world! Great venue to get away from it all and zone out for an hour.

Just wondered if you’ve tried breakfast at the Table Bay Hotel? I’ve heard that despite the price it’s absolutely brilliant. Have yet to go there myself.

  • http://www.breakfastincapetwon.com munyah

We haven’t been there yet, the price is a deterrent. We might bite the bullet and try The One and Only instead. Please let us know if you ever go to Table Bay.

    Happy breakfast

Sorry mate, we’re not familiar with that side of town. Hope you did find a good place though, let us know your recommendations if any.

  • Jabs

Nothing you’ve posted compares with breakfast at Superette in Woodstock. Or even Mango Ginger in Obz. So I guess I’ll just keep searching….

thanks Jabs, we’ll try and remember when we are in those areas.

  • Gavin

    Hi Guys.
You can definitely try the Table Bay Hotel breakfast – more food than you have seen in your life in one place plus you get champagne or a energy shooter at the door. Best places for now that we can’t stop going back to are Origin and Loading Bay in Waterkant. The best coffee ever and Loading bay has energetic owners and its just a pleasure to be there. Excellent fresh interesting twist on breakfasts and not badly priced.

Thanks a lot Gavin for the suggestions. We’ll put them up once we visit the places you mentioned! They are close by and so it will likely be soon.

What a brilliant idea to have a special site for breakfast spots!

Could you ask contributors to mention opening times? I am always trying to find places in the CBD that serve breakfast from 07:00 so that I could meet friends before work – and you’ll be amazed how few places are open that early on weekdays.

  • http://www.breakfastincapetwon.com munyah

Thats a great suggestion Sara, we will make an effort to remember to do that.
